Term 2

Awesome Aztecs...

This term we are heading to Mexico to discover the ancient civilisations...

We've had an amazing time at the Colston Hall performing with children from across North Somerset in the Christmas Extravaganza!

Ellie said "I wish I could do it all over again!"

Khaden said, " I was so nervous but once I started singing, I didn't want to stop! "

Week 5

This week we have enjoyed making Aztec Hot Chocolate, practicing our performance for the Colston Hall next Tuesday, and helping to prepare and lead the Christmas Fayre for our school! The whole of Year 6 will receive a class special book prize for their excellent efforts. They have certainly lived out the co-operative value of community and caring for others!

You have made the Year 6 staff team so proud! Well done and thank you for all your hardwork...

Last Friday, year 5 and 6 enjoyed a wonderful couple of hours developing our gymnastics skills at the local secondary school Hans Price Academy. The year 10's led a energetic and enthusiastic round robin of activities.

Here is this week's homework! Look forward to seeing your Christmas symmetrical patterns!

We enjoyed a 'Foodie Wednesday' as we cooked up a storm in the Food and Technology Room making ' Spicey Mexican Tortillas'. These were delicious. We also discovered more about the impact of Fairtrade and enjoyed taste testing different brands of chocolate. This helped to inspire our letter writing where we wrote letters of complaint demanding more fair trade of chocolate!

We thought about our co-operative value of SOLIDARITY as we reflected on lives of many cocoa farmers around the world.
