Family Club

Here at Oldmixon, we are very proud of our successful Family Club, which meets on Mondays after school. We love getting to know our families even better and we all thoroughly enjoy the amazing activities that we share together.  This could be arts and crafts, cooking and food preparation, playing board games together or participating in outdoor Forest School activities. Our families tell us just how much they enjoy coming .... click on the link below and read some of their comments.
Please see the attached leaflet below for information on further family support clubs available in North Somerset.
Term 2

A very warm welcome to our new family that joined Family Club this term. We have all enjoyed spending time with Verity, Melody and Reuben this afternoon. Well done to Anthony, Emily and Rosie who finished their very impressive masks today... they look fantastic!

Ken had a rematch draughts game with Mrs Parker but the Welsh Dragon still reigns supreme!  Better luck next week Ken.

Term 1

We have enjoyed our summer holidays and are pleased to be back with our lovely families in Family Club

A really warm welcome to our new families who have joined us this term and to our families who were with us last year!

It's so good to see you all.

During our first two Family Club meetings we have enjoyed getting to know eachother and we have played several board games.  Well done to Jordan who took on the, "Welsh Draughts Champion... Mrs Parker."  You played two fantastic games, Jordan, and will no doubt challenge Mrs Parker again.  We all send our warmest Get Well Wishes to Anthony's mum and we look forward to seeing you when you are feeling better.

Good to have you back Emily and Rosie.  Jordan painted his mask this afternoon and it looks absolutely FANTASTIC!

Anthony, Emily and Rosie started their paper mache layering and they're coming along brilliantly too.  What a talented Club we have!

Over the next three weeks we shall be creating some

amazing 3D masks.

This afternoon we considered different ideas and decided what we would like to make.  We designed our masks on paper and then  carefully coloured them.

Next week, we will use papier mache to build up the 3D areas that our masks will need.

The following week, we will carefully paint our masks.

We can't wait to share photos of our masks with you...

Watch this space!

Jordan and his mum used paper mache today to cover their mask. It looks amazing already and he can't wait to begin painting his mask next week. Get well soon to our families that were poorly this week... we missed you!

Our parents helped their children with their homework and then we made delicious pizzas this afternoon!

Anthony, Emily, Jordan and Rosie you are fantastic chefs and we think your going to enjoy your tea this evening!

Welcome back Anne-Marie... we missed you.
