Family Club

Here at Oldmixon, we are very proud of our successful Family Club, which meets on Mondays afterschool.  We love getting to know our families even better and we all thoroughly enjoy the amazing activities that we share together.  This could be arts and crafts, cooking and food preparation, playing board games together or participating in outdoor Forest School activities.  Our families tell us just how much they enjoy coming .... click on the link below and read some of their comments.

A very warm welcome to Katie & Ellie's family who joined Family Club this afternoon.  Those families who were here last week enjoyed painting their salt dough decorations.  Thank you for sharing your pot of glitter Rosie!

Katie and Ellie drew amazing Christmas pictures and painted them in bright, glittery paint!  Well done everyone.

We made salt dough this afternoon.  Thank goodness we had, 'Mary Berry' (Emily), and 'Mr Kipling' (Anthony's dad, Ken) to give us advise on the best consistency for our dough!  We're looking forward to painting our salt dough decorations next week.

We had great fun this afternoon creating amazing pictures and patterns on plain biscuits... our Family Club children are very talented!  Rosie is very excited to be taking her otter mask home, and Emily can't wait to show her wolf mask to her Dad.  "Emily, he will LOVE it!"

We have some amazing artists in Family Club!  Today our families created some beautiful Aboriginal inspired paintings of different native Australian animals.  It was fun using cotton buds instead of paintbrushes and our masterpieces look fantastic.  Anthony, Emily, Rosie, Melody and Reuben are very proud of their creations... and so they should be!
Anthony... your papier mache mask is great!
