Thank you to all parents/carers who collected their children promptly after we had to close the school yesterday.
There was a burst water pipe outside of school grounds which meant we had no running water in school.
Bristol Water worked all day to resolve the issue and the water supply was finally reinstated at approximately 2:30pm.
In the event of an emergency school closure, we will contact parents and carers via text message and email.
Our twitter account and website will also be updated.
We will also make contact via telephone, but due to the number of children in the school this can obviously take some time.
It is extremely important that all contact information is up to date; both telephone numbers and email addresses, including any additional emergency contacts.
It may be helpful to provide us with a work telephone number too.
In an event of a school closure, if you are unable to pick up your child, please inform the office of the name of the person who will be picking up your child.
We will also keep you updated via methods mentioned above (text message, email, twitter and website) as to whether the school will open the next day.
Please note, that depending on the nature of the closure, there may not be a member of staff on site to answer the telephone, so please do not call to ask whether or not the school will be open, please check the website.
