Photos of home learning.

Kirsty is amazed at how fast her vegetables are growing in her garden!

Are you growing anything at home? If so we would love to see some photos.

Rosa and her big brother had lots of fun celebrating VE Day. They sang songs, had a tea party and played in their swimming pool.

Bellamy has been really busy at home taking part in the home learning challenges and he made a super effort to dress up and celebrate VE Day. He wanted to be a doctor and took care of his cuddly toy, what an excellent key worker he was.

Some delicious looking creative cake making, yummy 😊

Scarlett and her family have hatched some adorable chicks and are now spending time taking care of them. ❤️

Rosa and Terence have been busy ticking off some of the home learning activities. They printed bugs with potato, made a house for a bear, wrote their own story books and practiced measuring. They also made fresh pasta from scratch.

The Gruffalo has been a very popular book to read at home.

Some amazing St George's Day artwork has been created by Reuben and Melody, have you spotted on your daily walk?

Kirsty is learning a new skill by growing her own vegetables. So far she has planted potatoes, cauliflowers and onions.

Are you growing your own vegetables, fruit or flowers? If so then we would love to see some photos. You can email them to us on yearn@oldmixonschool.com and we will post them on here for our families and friends to enjoy.👍

Madison helped to clean out her pet hamster. What pets do you have? We would love to see pictures of you helping to care for your animals.

All ready for dress as a key worker day on Friday. Who would you dress as?

Rosa practiced her scissor skills and cut out pictures to create a collage of all the things she loves ❤️

Kirsty has been practising her pizza making skills. She was so hungry she forgot to take a photo of the finished pizza! Any excuse to make more next week.wink

Mrs Abraham has been trying to teach her dog Reggie some new tricks ( not very successfully)

Reuben has been very busy at home, he is learning all about different birds and has painted a beautiful bird house. He used tent pegs and string to create a pattern to jump over.

Some lovely baking is happening at home. Baking and cooking are great ways to develop communication, maths and physical skills.

Happy 4th birthday to Rosa!

Lovely letters, keep practicing your writing and drawing at home everyone.

Some of our children are being allowed to stay up late to say thank you to our NHS staff and key workers. They clapped on their doorstep on a Thursday evening. 👏👏👏👏

Take a look at all the things one of your friends has been getting up to whilst he is at home.

The dinosaur biscuits are very impressive. I bet they tasted delicious.

We are super proud of all of our children taking part and completing challenges that we are setting to do at home.

Here you can see one of our nursery children practising his counting by giving the rabbit different amounts of carrots each time.

Amazing job.

Rosa has been getting creative with salt dough. If you would like to have a go the recipe is 500g plain flour, 250g salt and 250-300ml of water. This then needs to be baked in the oven on the lowest setting for about 3 hours . You can then paint it once cool.

Kirsty has been teaching her son how to use the washing machine....................lets hope he doesn't mix the colours!

Mrs Abraham has been teaching her daughter Ruby how to cook.

Zelda has been practicing matching and naming her colours. She collected some daffodils on her Spring walk and has put them in some water to see how they change over time.

Our Pre-school children have been very creative at home.
