How do we involve the community in the life of our school?
How can we involve the community more ?
Children from Year 1-6 took part in this terms pupil voice meetings to discuss how we can involve the community more in the life of Oldmixon School. The children came up with some fantastic, imaginative ideas.
- Invite local professionals into school and have workshops.
- Coffee morning.
- Visit local businesses.
- Invite community members in to have a celebration.

All children from year 1- 6 took part in pupil voice meetings to discuss their views on Friday Banquet.
Children throughout the school enjoy Friday Banquet, having their lunch served to them and the idea of having a treat.
New ideas gathered from the meetings include
- 'Treat on a seat' including popcorn,cake, candy floss and biscuits
Activities starting from 12pm before lunch
Each term to change the treat and activity so each term there is a new theme.
End of year Platinum trip should be to a restaurant.
