Oldmixon Primary School is now closed. We remain open between 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday, for children who are identified as vulnerable and children whose parents are critical to the COVID-19 response, as defined in government documentation.

Following a rise in COVID-19 cases in Weston-super-Mare and the precautionary closure of local A&E provision, Trustees have decided to delay the wider reopening of ELAN schools to children in Preschool, YR, Y1 and Y6 by one week.

This will be reviewed by trustees on 4th June. Confirmation of specific year group opening dates, times and procedures will be conveyed to parents and carers following this review.

Year 2

Welcome to Year 2's Home Learning! This page will show you all of the fantastic learning Year 2 have been completed at home.

Louis has been taking on today’s challenge and making different shapes using spaghetti! Can you name his shapes?

Mia made her 3D shape using spaghetti and marshmallows!

Mateusz has made his shapes using objects from both inside and outside of the house!

Mia’s act of kindness was helping her friend by walking her dog and making her dad’s vegetable salad! Well done Mia!

Mateusz showing his act of kindness today by helping his parents in the garden! I could also see some planting, which links to our last science topic, well done Mateusz.

Mia has been practicing her computing skills at home and has made this wonderful poster all about the Pacific Ocean. She researched herself and then inputted the information and pictures herself!

Look at Mateusz's #weappreciateyou challenge. He made a wonderful model of a rainbow and a range of key workers out of lego! Well done Mateusz.

A big well done to Mia who made this brilliant poster for our #weappreciateyou challenge!

Year 2 had some scientists who took on the bubble challenge! Take a look at the brilliant bubbles they have made!
