Day2: Early morning football match with some new friends from another school and we have just finished making our own lunch...vegetable soup, vegetable pasta and fruit salad! We did everything even the washing up! Looking forward to lunch already!
Hooke Court and we have all arrived safely! We've already been baking up a storm with scones, jam tarts and carrot cake! Keeping in the world war 2 theme we went down the air raid shelter and we are currently enjoying our very own VE Day party! Maybe we will fit in a bit of the football later this evening.

Drug and Alcohol Awareness
Today Tuesday, the year 6 children took part in a Drug and Alcohol Awareness workshop. During the workshop the children learnt about the dangers of illegal drugs, the effects of alcohol on the body and the guidelines on legal drugs.
This term we are 'shooting for the Stars'! Yes, our SATS challenge is nearing completion and then we are heading out on a Space Odyssey!

We had a fantastic morning at the Life Skills Centre in Bristol...we experienced first hand how to deal with real life emergencies!
This week we welcomed 4 new members to our class from Milton Park Primary, one of Co-operative Trust partners, to share in a writing project. We loved having them part of English lesson...watch this space for our final completed newspaper reports!
Water Cycle - We worked in teams to research the Water Cycle, before writing a non-fiction narrative inspired the character 'Drip'...
In Science this week, we have been discovering more about how the lungs function! We wrote explanation texts - Why do people die if they stop breathing? - after working in our research teams!

A fantastic effort by Year 6 this morning to climb Crook's Peake! It tested our stamina but everyone made it up to take in the spectacular views!
