What is Remote Learning?
We understand that remote learning may provide some unique challenges with your children! We really want you to have fun with your children during the isolation period however we remain committed to continuing to provided high quality learning opportunities and continued connection with class teams and peers.
All children in Reception to Year 6 have access to SEESAW which your teachers are providing lots of work for you through.
Each child will have received a QR code and teachers will regularly post activities to their seesaw page.
If your child engages with reading or other home learning activities feel free to add to their seesaw page.
For our Nursery and Preschool children we will continue to use Tapestry. Please look out for videos and memos and messages to support your activities at home.
Please look at our Subject Specific page for further information regarding the range of Maths online resources we now have access to including PowerMaths, Numbots, TTRockstars and Hegarty Maths.
There is a Home Video page. Staff across the school are making videos for you to enjoy at home. Stories, challenges, assemblies and much more.
We will keep adding to this page so keep looking at the different videos.
These are excellent national resources created for us all to use during these challenging times.
We recommend agreeing and timetabling 3-4 hours of home learning with your children. Structure will make life easier! We would recommend spreading out remote learning over 30 minute blocks during the day, with plenty of play and free time in between.
Try to choose a range of activities such as maths, handwriting or reading each day.
If you are finding things difficult, you are not alone.
Please contact your teacher via SEESAW. We are here to support and help you.
You will also receive a check in telephone call from from one our Home Link Team.
