Year 2

This term Year 2 have the opportunity to take their learning outside and take part in Forest School.  These sessions take place in the woods near the hospital/opposite Oldmixon. The purpose of these sessions is to give children dedicated time to explore and learn in natural surroundings.

This week at Forest School Year Two looked at the habitat of the woods and for some of the creatures and insects that make it their home. They made their own mini forests with a forest floor, an understorey, an emergent layer and a canopy. 

Making mini beasts and building dens for them.

Year 2 had a great time at Forest School this week. This weeks activity was to build a den for themselves.

We think they did a great job!
