  March the 7th is World Book Day. We will be celebrating this day on the 6th of March as we are fortunate enough to have an author visit the school and celebrate 'reading'. We have sent out letters about the author visit and about the World Book Day events and competitions. Please see below or look on the 'Letters' section of this page to find copies of the letters that were sent out on the 23rd of February.

  

• Wednesday 20th December is the last day of term. We return to school to start Term 3 on Monday 8th January 2024.

• Tuesday 19th December: Selection Box Bingo

  We are so pleased to have this event back again this year! Selection Box Bingo is a favourite amongst our families. Mrs Parker will be our caller. It will be a £2 a strip. This is a family event and children must be accompanied by parents/carers. It will start at 3.30pm. There are lots of selection boxes to be won!

• Monday18th December 2.30pm: Reception class are inviting parents to come and join them in their Christmas Makaton sign and singalong.

• Thursday 14th December and Tuesday 19th December 2.30-3.15pm: KS2 are inviting parents to come and join them in the hall for ‘Carols around the Tree’

  We will be offering 2 tickets to one of the performances to the families of our children as there is limited seating. We are restricted by our hall size but hopefully we can accommodate as many families as possible. Entrance is free.

• Wednesday 13th December: Christmas Dinner and Christmas Jumper Day

  We will have our whole school Christmas dinner. Details for this will be sent out in a separate letter. Please can all children wear their Christmas jumpers to help us celebrate Christmas altogether.

• Tuesday 12th December 2.00-2.30pm and Thursday 14th December 9.30am – 10.00am: Key Stage One Christmas Showcase – Everyone Loves a Baby

• Thursday 7th December ‘Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day’.

  We are joining in this year with this special National event. Children will be encouraged to wear a Christmas/Festive jumper and bring a donation (suggested £1) for the ‘Save the Children’ Charity.

• Friday 1st December is ‘Bring a Bauble’ Day.

  We are asking for all children to bring a bauble in from home (old/new/homemade) and help us decorate our school tree which has been kindly donated by B&Q. (If you don’t have any spare baubles don’t worry as we have lots of spare ones!)

• Our Christmas Raffle will be launched on Monday 27th November 2023

  Our Christmas Raffle will be launched on Monday 27^th November and there are lots of beautiful hampers up for grabs at only 50p a ticket. Each family will receive 10 tickets to sell in an envelope. If you are unable to sell the tickets please just return the envelope to school. More tickets are available should you need them! Look out for the photos on Facebook! The draw will take place on Tuesday19th December.
