Letter From The Food Bank
We came to Oldmixon School to explain the workings of Foodbank to the pupils and thank them, their families and the staff for their generosity.
From the time we entered the school we were treated with helpfulness and kindness. We were particularly struck by the way several pupils saw that there was a need to collect the food together and display it , helping us without even being asked.
The whole school listened attentively to our talk even those in Key Stage One.
When I returned the following day to collect the 61 kilograms of food that had been collected, I again found the children eager to help. They boxed up the food and carried it out to reception with enthusiasm and a smile. At all times we found them exceptionally polite and thoughtful.
They were at all times a credit to their school and its staff.
