My name is Bethan Brown. I am a teaching assistant at Oldmixon Primary School. For a number or years I have ran forest school and love to see our children engaging outdoors, getting involved in teamwork and importantly having fun!

I am a Teaching Assistant in year 6. I trained as a nursery nurse at Bridgwater College and came to Oldmixon on placement. All I can say is that I haven’t left since! 25 years have flown by and I’ve worked in every year group from Nursery to year 6. I have two children, a 14 year old son who is at secondary school and a 7 year old daughter who is at Oldmixon. As a family we enjoy music, reading and making memories together. Oldmixon is a fantastic place to work with amazing children who have the best team supporting them.

Mr. Scott Phillis - Teaching Assistant - based in Year 6

I am a new teaching assistant joining Year 6 after having recently qualified as a teacher. In the past, I have volunteered at other ELAN schools and I completed one of my teaching placements at Oldmixon. I am grateful for the opportunity to return and work with such a fantastic school and group of children. Having always loved STEM subjects, I completed my degree in mathematics and I hope to share some of my knowledge and enthusiasm for it with others!

I was proud to be part of a successful campaign to increase Oldmixon infant school to a growing Primary School. Over the years, I have worked in all classes but my heart lies with the foundation stage.
