Mrs. Lesley Newson - Bursar (mornings only)
I joined the school in September 1999 having previously worked as a Department Secretary at Weston College. For many years I was the School Administrator based in the School Reception Office and in those days knew all the pupils and parents by name! I am now in a behind-the-scenes role as Bursar dealing with premises and compliance in addition to finance. When not in work spending time with family is really important, and I and my husband also love to spend as much time as possible at our caravan in Devon which is our bolthole to get away from it all and relax.
Mrs. Ruth Penhallow - Administrator (mornings only)
I have had a varied career before joining Oldmixon Primary. I trained in Theatre and Performance Design in Liverpool, before moving to work in retail, initially in Liverpool, then back in my home area, Worcestershire, where I spent time both on the shop floor and in back office support. I then spent some time working for my local council in Wyre Forest, in their HR department. My move to Weston-Super-Mare led me to take on the role of Administrator at Oldmixon. When not in work, I like to spend time with my husband, step-daughter and Buddy the dog.
Miss Emily Stevens - Administration Assistant
I started at Oldmixon in February 2018. I was completing my level 2 apprenticeship in Business Administration with Weston College. After a year of studying I was offered a full time position working in the school office as Administrative Assistant. I operate the office phone, deal with morning and afternoon attendance, support the Administrator and Bursar with anything I can help out with and organise after school clubs each term. Since working at Oldmixon Primary School, I have been able to move out with my boyfriend and start my independence! I am the first person you see when you come and visit our school, so come and say hello!
