Nursery Team

Mrs. Kim Abraham - Teaching Assistant - Nursery

Mrs. Abraham is the lead for our children in year N2 (these are children who turn 4 during this school year and will be starting school in September 2019).

I qualified as a primary school teacher in 1994. I was a supply teacher in the local area and then focused on early years settings. I introduced pre-school sessions Jump & Jiggle to Hutton Moor Leisure Centre and managed all of the children’s activities before returning to pre-school in 2013. I have been the lead practitioner in Oldmixon pre-school room since January 2019. I love spending time with my family and walking my Cockapoo Reggie. Those that know me know I love to sing (badly)!

Miss Kirsty Hitchins - Teaching Assistant - Nursery

Kirsty is the lead for our children in year E2 (these are children who turn 2 during this school year and will be starting school in September 2021).

I have 24 years in EY experience overall. I have previously been manager of a nursery. I have been a Teaching Assistant in reception classes too. I have been at Oldmixon about 9 years. I have experience with speech and language. I also enjoy giving children the best start in life.

Miss Lisa Joles - Teaching Assistant - Nursery

Lisa is the lead for our children in year N1 (these are children who turn 3 during this school year and will be starting school in September 2020).

I have worked here for 5 years. Previous to coming here I worked for 18 years at Around 3 nursery. 23 years of early years’ experience altogether! I have also previously been deputy manager. I have always worked in early years, I love working with the children and seeing them learn new things. I believe that the first 5 years is most important for setting them up for life.
