Senior Leadership Team
Mrs. Corinna Sutton - Headteacher,
I am absolutely thrilled to be the new headteacher of Oldmixon Primary School. This is my 28th year in the teaching profession and I have worked in lots of different schools in that time from a British army school in Cyprus to a large Junior school in Bridgwater. I absolutely love my job as every day is different and I get to lead a wonderful team of staff and see our children and young people learn, grow and flourish.
Outside of school I love to be with my family and friends, cooking and socialising. I have a cat called Pickles, and 2 dogs - Daisy and Bruno. I also enjoy drama and theatre and have been in many amateur productions on stage for the past 11years.
Mrs. Roxanne Simpson - Deputy Headteacher, SENCo, English lead, Pupil Premium Lead, Safeguarding Lead and Quality Education Lead.
I began my teaching career at Oldmixon Primary School in 2012 as an NQT and loved being part of the Oldmixon family so much that I stayed! Now in my tenth year of teaching, I have experience working both in KS1 and KS2 but this year I am out of class working to support teaching and learning across the school. Passionate about reading, writing and music, I can be found frequently reading poems to children or enthusiastically singing to and with the school. I also have a special interest in children with special educational needs and I am the school SENCO, I’m working hard to support and develop our provision and support for our children who have special educational needs.
