Djembe Drumming

Our year 5 class have been learning to play the djembe drum. According to the Bambara people in Mali, the name of the djembe comes from the saying "Anke djé, anke bé" which translates to "everyone gather together in peace". The children are thoroughly enjoying learning to play different rhythms and to play to the beat.
